A small amount of uranium has been detected in a package that arrived in the UK at Heathrow Airport following a routine screening. The Metropolitan Police said its counter-terrorism command unit was contacted by Border Force colleagues at the airport after the contaminated material was discovered on December 29th. Funerals have been taking place in Russia for some of the dozens of soldiers killed in a Ukrainian strike on New Year’s Day. Russia claims 89 soldiers died, although Ukraine insists more than 400 were killed in the attack. Many of the dead came from the city of Samara in southern Russia. Sky’s Moscow Correspondent
