Ukraine War: Nobody will give Ukraine a precise timeline for NATO accession as war rages

Videos
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Lithuania where he is meeting NATO leaders after having called their lack of a timeline for Ukraine’s membership “absurd”.

Security and defence analyst Michael Clarke has stressed how Ukraine will not be given a precise timeline for its NATO membership as the war with Russia continues.

He added President Zelenskyy will receive many “bilateral assurances” but no guarantees will be made to “go to war for Ukraine” as article 5 of the NATO treaty would entail for its members.
