Boris Johnson has announced sanctions against some of Vladimir Putin’s closest allies.

They include Gennady Timchenko, Boris Rotenberg and his nephew Igor Rotenberg – described by the Prime Minister as “three very high net worth individuals”.

But many experts are questioning how effective the sanctions will be – and what cost UK firms will have to pay.
